Mistakes cost us - O'Donnell

Roscommon manager Fergal O'Donnell
Roscommon football manager Fergal O'Donnell is counting the cost of elementary mistakes.

The Rossies are staring down the barrel of Division Four following their 2-14 to 2-13 defeat to Offaly last weekend and O'Donnell is ruing the basic errors that cost his team that match:

"It's those mistakes again. I could give the same interview after every game. I'm just getting sick of it really - giving the ball away, no excuses.

"Some of the mistakes were criminal. We got it back to a point with a few minutes to go in the first half. A high ball comes in and we didn't deal with it.

"We're obviously not working hard enough on the pitch to prevent that sort of thing from happening.

"We played with a bit of fight at times, but do we have to be seven points down before we start playing?

"We're going to have to improve. Antrim will blow us off the park next weekend if we play like that. It's not looking good."
