Roscommon star Cathal Cregg has confirmed that his injury woes are behind him.

Cregg, who played a pivotal role in DCU's Sigerson Cup triumph over the weekend, suffered a serious knee injury early in 2009 and there were suggestions of late that the problem was still troubling him.

But the Western Gaels midfielder has dismissed these reports, confirming: "I'm over all the injuries since before the Wexford game last year.

"I had a small bit of a niggle a few weeks ago and was out for a week or two.

"But it was just a precaution really. You have to be a bit careful after last year's injury." Tweet
