NHL 3B: Coyne leads goal rout

February 28, 2010
Roscommon 8-15
Tyrone 1-6

Roscommon found their goal scoring touch as they crushed Tyrone today at the Athleague, where the visitors were made to rue an early sending-off.

The Rossies were hit with an early set-back in this game when Seamus McLaughney got in for a Tyrone goal after just two minutes, but when corner-back Sean P Begley was issued a straight red card from Galway referee Alan Kelly on ten minutes, after an off-the-ball strike on John Coyne it changed the game completely.

The Roscommon attacker dusted himself off from the blow to puck over the home side's first score two minutes later and from there the Rossies dominated, with Coyne going on to hit an astounding 4-3 tally which devastated the Red Hands.
