Pearses club notes

November 24, 2008
O'Rourke Cup Final: Pearses 2-10 St Brigids 4-8 Pearses Senior Footballers lost out to St Brigids in this year's League Final in a cold and windy Kiltoom last Sunday. Pearses aided by a strong breeze got off to a great start with two Gerry Kelly goals helping Pearses into a 2-4 to 0-1 lead after 16 minutes but the next 7 minutes were to decide the game as incredibly St Brigids scored 4 goals and a point to take the lead, further points were exchanged and the half time score was Pearses 2-7 St Brigid's 4-4. A scrappy second half followed but Pearses were unable to pull back the arrears and again just fell short.
