The final two county quarter-finals of Scor na nOg, took place last weekend. Ballyforan Community Centre was the venue for the third quarter-final on Friday night last and the following competitors will now compete in the first County Semi-Final, which takes place in Ballyleague Community Centre on Friday November 28th. Figure Dancing: Roscommon Gaels & St. Dominics Solo Singing: St. Dominics (Dervla Mugan) & Padraig Pearses (Maria Corcoran) Instrumental Music: St. Aidans & Clann na nGael Recitation: St. Aidans (Tina Carty) & St. Dominics (Eoghan Conroy) Ballad Group: Padraig Pearses & St. Dominics Question Time: St. Aidans & St. Dominics Novelty Act: Padraig Pearses & St. Dominics Set Dancing: St. Dominics Shay Galvin was the Fear an Ti and the National Anthem was performed by Aoife Tynan The second quarter-final took place in Ballinaheglish Community Centre on Saturday night and the following competitors will now compete in the second County Semi-Final, which takes place in Ballyleague Community Centre on Saturday November 29th Figure Dancing: Roscommon Gaels & St. Dominics Solo Singing: St. Dominics (Cathy Dervin) & Oran (Michelle Carty) Instrumental Music: Oran & Roscommon Gaels Recitation: St. Dominics (James Murray) & St. Brigids (Claire Leonard) Ballad Group: Oran & St. Dominics Question Time: Oran & Padraig Pearses Novelty Act: Oran & St. Dominics Peter Brandon was the Fear an Ti and Sylvia Kilcline performed the National Anthem. Coiste Scor would also like to thank the committees in Ballyforan & Ballinaheglish for preparing the venues and supplying refreshments. As mentioned above the County Semi Finals take place in Ballyleague Community Centre on the 28th and 29th of November. A draw to determine the running order for all categories will be conducted this week.
