Those are the sentiments of Roscommon manager Kevin McStay following his side's defeat to Down in the NFL Division 2 campaign last Sunday afternoon.

McStay didn't hold back in his thoughts on the game as the Rossies were soundly defeated by a far more hungrier Down outfit on the day.

The Roscommon manager even went as far as questioning whether or not the side had any right to go back up to the top flight where they plied their trade last year.

"It was very frustrating. I don't know how to sum it up. It was really very disappointing. From the first ball to the last, it was one of the poorest performances in my time here. We all need to have a good look at that," said McStay.

"It has really kicked us in the teeth in terms of getting out of the division. We're in no man's land now really. There's a lot of soul searching to be done in the week ahead."

He added: "We took an awful belt against Down and maybe it's telling us that we're not good enough for Division One. Perhaps this is the level we are at."
