Junior A Football Championship Quarter Final

Clodiagh Gaels vs Edenderry is on Saturday 15th of September at 5pm in Daingean. We would appreciate all the support for the lads as they look to make it to the semi finals.

Senior B Hurling Championship Quarter Final

Clodiagh Gaels 0-20 Lusmagh 1-13. The lads progress to the semi final after a hard fought battle over Lusmagh taking revenge for our four point beating two weeks ago. Lusmagh aided by a gale force wind set the tone for the first half when hitting the net after four minutes and adding a number of points to leave the score 1-5 to 0-2 with our two points coming from Conor Langton and Dwayne Dunne. From there on in both sides traded scored and Lusmagh went in 1-9 to 0-6 up at the break. Dwayne Dunne and Liam Langton raising white flags for the Gaels. The Gaels had the advantage of the wind in the second half and made full use of it. Lusmagh got the first score of the second half but from there on in Clodiagh Gaels were in full control with Nigel Cunningham, Dwayne Dunne, Liam Langton and Shane Dolan pointing to leave the score 1-10 to 0-12 with twenty minutes remaining. Lusmagh got another point to keep them ahead only to be pegged back by a Dwayne Dunne free. From there on in the Gaels were in full control with Conor Langton putting over a massive score from the sideline which was followed up by points from his brother Liam, Dwayne Dunne and two from David Buckley to put us through to the semi final where we face Ballinamere in two weeks.

Everyone at Clodiagh Gaels sends their deepest condolences to the family of Michael Kearns on his passing last week.
