DIVISION 4 FOOTBALL LEAGUE
FERBANE 1-9 SHANNONBRIDGE 0-10
The Junior footballers had a fine win over a spirited Shannonbridge side in
sundrenched Ferbane on Tuesday evening of last week. In a game that had
everything Johnnie Fleming got the ball rolling with a nice point and with
Patrick Dooley adding a goal and a point Ferbane changed ends leading by
1-5 to 0-4 having played into the breeze. The Shannonsiders really took the
game to their hosts in the second half and scored six points to Ferbane's
four and were unlucky not to have found the net. Some good defending
particularly from the full back line kept things steady and helped Ferbane
to a memorable win. Ferbane:Paul Wynne,Ronan Egan,Gavin Kelly,Damien
