Roe denies trouble in camp

April 23, 2008
Offaly manager Pat Roe has rubbished reports that an internal bust-up led to PJ Ward and Neville Coughlan quitting the panel in recent weeks. The Shamrocks duo walked away from the squad earlier this month amid rumours that there had been in-fighting in the camp. Former Westmeath player Ward was allegedly confronted by a team-mate in the warm-up before the NFL game against Kilkenny and subsequently left the panel. Fellow attacker Ken Casey also withdrew his services after been brought on and then substituted against Waterford. But Roe said: "A fight, are you joking me? Not, at all. They weren't able to make the full commitment that is needed."
