The Offaly Hurling Implementation Committee (HIC) that resigned recently has outlined a list of grievances.

The committee was formed to put forward ways of improving hurling in the county, but sensationally they stepped down enmasse in recent weeks.

At the time, the committee expressed frustration and disillusionment  with the lack of progress being made.

A list of reasons have been set to all clubs in the county via e-mail with the replacement of the Offaly underage development management teams earlier in the year being one of the issues.

Others include the level of communication between the county board and the committee; the provision of strength and conditioning for county underage teams by Athlone IT, which had ceased last September.

The matter is set to be discussed at the next county board meeting which is sure to be a fiery affair given what is happening in both codes at the moment.
