The format to the senior football championship has been changed after just one year.

Delegates agreed to accept a new format proposed by the committee tasked with reviewing the Offaly adult championships.

Next year, the senior, senior B and intermediate football championships will each have eight teams, which will be divided into two groups of four with the top two teams qualifying for the semi-finals and the bottom two meeting in a relegation play-off.

Clubs did vote to reject changes to the current format of the senior and intermediate hurling championships.
