Redemption will be the key word in both the Waterford and Offaly dressing rooms ahead of today's SF qualifier in Fraher Field.

Division 4 champions Offaly suffered a 0-13 to 0-16 defeat at the hands of Longford on home soil last month while the Deise slumped to an embarrassing 23-point defeat against Tipperary in Semple Stadium.

"That's a big incentive," Waterford manager Tom McGlinchey said during the week.

"You want to redeem what happened two weeks ago and put in a performance. Anyone who would have followed the footballers throughout the year would have known that the performance against Tipperary wouldn't have been a true reflection on other games they have played."

McGlinchey's Faithful County counterpart Pat Flanagan, meanwhile, has resisted the temptation to make changes to his starting 15 for the trip to Fraher Field.

The two sides met earlier in the year in Division 4 with Flanagan's charges coming out on top by 0-13 to 1-4.
