Forde has no complaints

St Rynagh's manager Francis Forde admits that his side were beaten by the better team on the day in last weekend's county SHC final.

Kilcormac/Killoughey powered their way to a third consecutive title in formidable fashion as St Rynagh's had no answer for their opponents.

Forde acknowledged in this week's Midland Tribune that Kilcormac/Killoughey's performance was up there with the best that he has seen.

"It's no consolation, but it has to be said that we were beaten by a better team and it is as good as I have seen Kilcormac/Killoughey hurl," he said. "One to 15, I thought Kilcormac were fantastic.

"On the day we just met a better team. A very physical team who put us under severe pressure. Early in the second half it became apparent that we weren't going to be able to peg them back and they just built on the lead they had at half time."
