First county final of the year to be contested

April 11, 2014
This Saturday sees the first adult county final of the year take place as St Patrick's take on St Vincent's in the under-21 football decider.

The match will be played at O'Connor Park and throw in is at 6.15pm. A large crowd is expected to see what could be a very tight contest indeed.

St Patrick's are an amalgamation of Edenderry and Ballyfore and they beat Clara and St Broughan's to reach the final, while St Vincent's are made up of players from Cappincur, Kilclonfert, Ballycommon and Daingean and they beat Na Fianna, Wheery, St Manchan Gael's and Tullamore.

St Vincent's go into the match as slight favourites given the progress they have made at underage level in recent years, but on form this is a game that could go either way.
