All WEATHER pitch. St Brigids GAA is offering the use of the full pitch for €70 and half size for €40. Anyone wishing to book games can do so by contacting Paul Dunne on 087 6864448 the pitch is available for use by ladies, gents, youths & teams.
Championship Fixture result:
St Brigids took on St Rynaghs in Durrow on Friday 3rd April in the first round of the Senior Championship , it was not a nice evening weather wise and did not make for good football, We came away with a draw of St Rynaghs 1-4 to St Brigids 0-7. Team. Liam Fox, Ger Hannon, Alan Kennedy, William Molloy, Anthony Foy, Seán Casey, David Boland, Jonny Brickland, Shay Hannon(0-1)Thomas Mooney, David Egan(0-2)Eunan Lawlor, Dean Kennedy(0-1), Bobby Troy, Ken Casey(0-3 ,3f).
Big weekend :
The Croghan Area was very busy last weekend with the televised Croghan Hill Challenge taking place on Peter Moore's farm, plus taking the world record for most Vikings in one place, Big congratulations to all The Fund raising group :Hills & thrills for Crumlin Kids, made a spectacular entry up the hill, With over 300 Vikings in war paint and appropriate costumes were lead by Vikings on horseback to the starting point. Raising much needed funds for the Critical care Cardiac unit at Crumlin Hospital. Then we went to see the Ladies play their partners in the G a a grounds, which the ladies won of course.
Retirement Party:
Well known Croghan man Seán Kennedy is having his retirement party this Saturday 12th in Killeen's of Rhode and an open Invitation is extended to everyone in the area and all who worked with and know Seán. Seá has worked for B N M for over 40 years. The club wish Seán a very happy and long retirement. We'll see you Saturday night Seán.
