Junior Hurling
Div 3:
Edenderry 2-10 2-19 Coolderry.....................
Edenderry junior hurlers suffered a nine point beating at the hands of Coolderry on Sunday evening but with a host of players to return for this weekends championship opener vs Drumcullen, the reds can be happy with their battling display.
Edenderry battled hard throughout the game and were trailing by four points at half time but in a thrilling second half Coolderry pulled away and recorded a nine point victory.
The reds were missing some key members of the squad including the three Hanlon brothers, Stephen Murphy and Cillian Farrell among others and will no doubt have a much stronger squad for the Drumcullen game on Monday night.
Team sheet:
Derek Egan, Bill Glennon, Thomas Fay, Pauric Managan, Johnathan Geraghty, Conleth Cary, Paul Glennon, Sean Og Farrell, Martin Keogh, James Coffey, Eoghan Kelly, Jason Carey, Darragh Hickey, Declan Cummins, Robert O'Reilly.
Congratulations
Well done to Edenderry Town 1st team on their promotion last Friday night to the Leinster senior league after their four nil win over Drogheda.
