Coolderry favourites to retain Robbins Cup
May 11, 2012
Coolderry are the clear favourites to make it a three-in-a-row of Offaly SHC title successes.
Despite the possibility of them suffering a hangover from the huge disappointment of their All-Ireland club final loss to Loughgiel Shamrocks on St. Patrick's Day, the bookies have installed Ken Hogan's charges as 5/4 favourites ahead of their first Sean Robbins Cup defence against Kilcormac/Killoughey in St. Brendan's Park this evening.
Former kingpins Birr, who make their championship bow against Belmont on Sunday, are second favourites at 6/4, followed by St. Rynagh's who are available at 15/2. The other nine teams are priced as follows: Seir Kieran 12/1; Shinrone 14/1; Tullamore 14/1; Kinnitty 16/1; Belmont 40/1; Brosna Gaels 80/1; Drumcullen 125/1; Shamrocks 150/1.
