Leinster won't cut ticket prices

May 09, 2012
Leinster Council won't be reducing its admission prices for this year's football and hurling championships.

While the other three provincial bodies have announced price reductions (terrace only in Munster), Leinster will be charging the same as last year, despite the fact that many hard-pressed fans are no longer able to afford to go to games.

"We haven't reduced our prices. But remember we did put in price cuts last year," Leinster Council chairman Martin Skelly is quoted as saying in the Irish Daily Star.

"And if you compare our packages to anyone else's, ours is very favourable."

While regular ticket prices remained unchanged, Leinster Council has announced reductions for family, children and club member tickets.
