Junior Hurling.
Killeigh hurlers had mixed luck in the past week. In the Division 3 league game played on 28th July, Killeigh defeated visitors Seir Kieran by 2-14 to 2-5. The good form continued on Friday 30th, when Killeigh travelled up the road to play and defeat neighbours Killurin in the Dicision 4 league, by 3-7 to 0-14.
The good run ended when Killeigh lost to Lusmagh in the quarter final of the B Championship, on Tuesday night.

Killeigh hurler's interest in the 2010 championship ended in Kilcormac, with this heavy defeat. Although Peter Berry's free opened the scoring, Lusmagh equalised, and went on to dominate the first half, scoring 1-9 to Killeigh's 0-3. Peter Berry scored all 3 points.
The game was decided when Lusmagh scored their second goal, and they finished the game leading 3-14 to 6 points for Killeigh. Peter Berry added 2 points, with Joe White also scoring a point. Killeigh goalkeeper Cathal Mc Donald was injured making a save, and had to retire, with Diarmiud Connell, moving from attack to the goals. Despite the scoreline Cathal Mc Donald made some fine saves in the game.

Junior Football Championship.
Killeigh footballers are fixed to play Cappincur at home, on Saturday evening in Killeigh. Throw in is 5.00 p.m. After dropping 2 points to Kilcormac/ Killoughey in their last game, Killeigh will be anxious for a win, to get their championship back on the road.
This is a vital match, and we would hope to get plenty of home support.
