Offaly welcome Rossies this Sunday
March 05, 2010
Offaly will welcome Roscommon to Tullamore this Sunday for their must win game in Division Three of the National Football League.
After a win over Fermanagh and a defeat to Wexford in their opening two games, the Faithful men will be looking to get one over Roscommon, who are pointless coming into this game, as they look to consolidate their status in Division Three for next season.
However, they will have to do it without three of their Under 21 stars in Sean Pender, Brian Connor and Anton Sullivan, all of whom are on Leinster championship duty against Carlow this weekend.
Promotion will almost certainly be out of the question if Offaly lose this and they will need to guard Rossies ace Donie Shine to make sure they don't, while also getting the sufficient balls forward to players like Niall McNamee to make sure they can get winning scores on the board.
The two teams meet this Sunday, March 7, in round three of the NFL at O'Connor Park, where throw-in is at 2.30pm.
