Murphy to remain sidelined for Offaly

Offaly's Brendan Murphy
Offaly's Brendan Murphy is set to remain on the sidelines for at least another two weeks as he looks to recover from a slipped disc in his back.

It was thought that the 29-year-old might have been available for next Sunday week's NHL clash against Dublin, but manager Joe Dooley doesn't hold out much hope for his seasoned campaigner and says he "might be a few weeks away still".

There has been some good news on the injury front for Dooley as of late, with corner-back David Franks coming off the bench to play in last weekend's defeat to Kilkenny and Derek Molloy also fit again, although there are now fresh concerns over Daniel Currams, Stephen Egan and James Keane, with the latter set to be out for some time.
