Kilcormac/Killoughey are 2009 Offaly U21 hurling champions for the seventh time. The championship final - against Seir Kieran - was played in Banagher last weekend and K/K dominated throughout to prevail by 1-19 to 0-9. Leading by 0-10 to 0-2 at the short whistle, K/K led their opponents a merry dance from start to finish. In contrast, the holders could never get into contention and were totally overwhelmed. Captain Daniel Currams (1-9) and Derry Guinan (1-4) top-scored for the winners, who are U21 champions for the first time in eleven years - and the seventh time in their history. Tweet
