Coffey rues final ten minutes
December 11, 2008
Rhode manager Tom Coffey was left ruing his side's second-half Leinster club championship final collapse.
Coffey was in no way critical of his players, who gave everything but ran out of steam, especially in the closing ten minutes or so:
"I suppose most games are won in the last ten minutes and that's when we struggled," he notes.
"Our lads gave it everything. There is nothing more they could have done.
"Preparations and everything along the way was brilliant. We just needed a lifeline with ten minutes to go, but the ball just hopped the wrong way each time."
