SENIOR B FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP RELEGATION FINAL

Ferbane were straight out of the blocks from the throw in with the opening 2 points inside the first min. Raheen responded with their first 2 points by the 5th min to draw level for the first and only time in the game. Ferbane added a point before striking for their first goal on 12 mins along with another point. Raheen then added 3 points in a row but this was wiped out with Ferbane’s second goal on 28 mins finished by a player just out of the minor ranks Harry Balsigner. This left it double scores at the break 2-04 to 0-05 in favour of Ferbane. The sides scored 1-01 apiece inside the first 5 mins of the second half, the Raheen goal turned in by Conor Carroll. Ferbane tagged on 2 more points before striking the hammer blow with their 4th goal on 17 mins finished by Ryan Heavin son of former Westmeath player Ger Heavin.
