Rhode GAA Supporters Draw

Rhode GAA supporters draw will be rescheduled due to the weekends events. Watch social media for date


division 1 League 

Rhode Senior footballers traveled to Clara last Monday evening losing out on a score-line of  0-17 to 0-05.

The Game against Tullamore was called off and is to be re-fixed some day this week.

Offaly GAA Cul Camps

The annual Rhode GAA Cul Camp will commence in Fr Dowling Park on Monday 15th July to Friday 19th July. The camp will start each day at 10am and ends at 2.30pm. It is a wonderful experience for the 6 to 12 year old boys and girls to play games meet new friends and to practice the skills of our native games. U’11 footballers 

Our u’11s played in Geashill  tonight in the go games. A very high standard played by both teams. Some very impressive scoring and tackling done the lads.well done to all.keep up the huge work 



Massive Congratulations to Rhode U’14 Girls on winning the Offaly U’14 Community Games Final on Sunday. 



There was no winner of the Rhode GAA Lotto Draw that took place on the 10th of June for a Jackpot of €3,000.  The numbers drawn were 2 16 18 29.  The club would like to thank all those who supported the draw and thanks to Killeen’s for the use of their premises and for their help and cooperation.  The following matched three numbers and received €50 each.

Rhode GAA express our Deepest Sympathy to the Leavy Family on the Tragic Passing of Tony Leavy. .


Son of the late Essie Tony will be sadly missed by all who knew him especially, deeply regretted by his wife Bernie, sadly missed by his loving family Tasha, Robert, Shauna and Wayne, father John, grand-children Katie and Emily, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, mother-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends


Tony donned the Green & Gold Jersey many times in his younger years when he played under-age football for the Club. He was a tremendous athlete in those years where he represented Rhode in the community games many times. His two Sons Robert & Wayne went on to play football for Rhode at all levels and continue to play a pivotal part of our Junior Teams with Robert  winning numerous county titles at under-age and Adult Level.



Deepest Sympathy to the Smullen Family  Clonin and extended families  on the Passing of Winnie Smullen. 

Winnie's Funeral mass took place on Thursday last in St.Peters Church Rhode followed by Burial to the adjoining cemetery. 


Sympathy is also extended to the Malone Family Rhode on the passing of Anna Hennessy Borris Carlow whose funeral took place on Thursday.
