Raheen & Na Fianna club notes

June 12, 2018

The numbers drawn in the Lotto draw which took place on Tuesday 05 June 2018 were 03 08 13 20. There was No Jackpot Winner of €3,000 and 2 Match 3 Winners (Katie Kinsella C/O Ger McDonald; Ray Garry C/O Ray Garry) (€100 Each). Next week's draw will take place in Direen's, Cloneygowan on Monday 18 June 2018.

Raheen Senior Footballers completed the group stage of the Div 2 League last Monday week with their second win in a row and third overall coming out on top against Walsh Island in Walsh Island on a scoreline of 0-14 to 0-09. Unfortunately due to Shamrocks win over Bracknagh the same evening Raheen's win was not enough to qualify for the Div 2 Final which will be contested by Ballycumber and Shamrocks. Raheen opened the scoring with the first 3 points by the midpoint of the half before Walsh Island got off the mark with a pointed free on 18 mins. Within a minute the Walsh Island full forward was one on one with Raheen keeper James Boland and it was the Raheen man who dived full length to pull off a great save with the resultant 45 slotted over. In the final 10 mins of the half Walsh Island put over 3 points without reply to lead at the break 0-05 to 0-03. By the 7th min of the second half Raheen had added 5 points to Walsh Island's 2 to take the lead which they would not surrender thereafter as they tagged on another 6 points to just 2 from Walsh Island over the remainder of the game to run out comfortable winners.

RAHEEN: James Boland, Eoin Corcoran, Brian Corcoran, Adam Kelly, Jack Keogh, Liam Boland, Mikey Keogh (0-01), Mark Gorman (0-02), Colin Keogh (0-01), Niall Dempsey (0-02), Niall Leavy, Liam Gorman, Mark Garry, Richie Reynolds (0-04), Brian Crombie (0-03).

SUBS: Conor McNally (for Niall Leavy), Aidan Pierce (for Liam Gorman), Jack O'Brien (0-01) (for Mark Garry), Stephen Pierce (for Brian Crombie).

Raheen Junior Footballers Div 5 League fixture against Ballycomman last Friday evening was postponed due to no Ref available and will be re-fixed for a later date.
