Rhode GAA notes

Division 1 League 

Rhode Senior Footballers made it seven from seven in the final round of the division 1 league defeating Tullamore on a score-line of 2-10 to 0-05.  

Rhode Seniors had already booked their place in the league final ahead of the Tullamore game and will now be joined  by Cappincur in the final. Time and date has not been confirmed yet.

U,10 Community Games Champions :

Massive congratulations to our U,10 Footballer's who were crowned Offaly Community games champions on Tuesday evening last when they bet Clara on a score-line of  7:09 To 2:06. This is a magnificent achievement for both players and management. It was the clubs first community games win since 2002. Again well done to these young lads the future is bright.

Offaly Senior Footballer's 

Offaly Senior Footballer's had a superb 2-20 to 1-15 win over Antrim in BNM O'Connor Park Saturday evening last .  Offaly now move forward to play Clare in BNM O'Connor Park on weekend of 23-24 of June. 

On The Offaly Team/panel from Rhode are Offaly Captain Anton Sullivan, Niall Darby and Conor McNamee Ruairi  McNamee . Brian Darby,  Eoin Rigney, James McPadden. 

U,13 Footballer's 

Rhode U,13 footballer's played out a draw against Ferbane in the first round of championship  Wednesday evening last in Rhode. Final Score read Rhode 2-09 Ferbane 3-06. 

Rhode U13s will now play St.Vincent's in the second round this Wednesday evening 13th June at 7:30pm in Rhode. 

CLG-Bord Na nOg Rod 5k Family Fun Run/Walk 

 

A massive thank you again to all who took part in the  CLG-Bord Na nOg Rod 5k Family Fun Run/Walk  last Saturday week. Please note any one not giving in their sponsorship cards can you please return them as soon as possible. 

U,11 Footballer's 

Rhode U,11 Footballer's will play St. Broughan's in Fr.Dowling park Rhode this Thursday June 14th at 7:30pm 

Offaly GAA Cul Camps

The annual Rhode GAA Cul Camp will commence in Fr Dowling Park on Monday 16th July to Friday 20th July. The camp will start each day at 10am and ends at 2.30pm. It is a wonderful experience for the 6 to 12 year old boys and girle s to play games meet new friends and to practice the skills of our native games. Lotto

There was no winner of the Rhode GAA Lotto Draw that took place on the 5th of June for a Jackpot of €15,000.  The numbers drawn were 1 6 8 26.  The club would like to thank all those who supported the draw and thanks to O'Toole's for the use of their premises and for their help and cooperation.  The following matched three numbers and received €100 each.

The Rhode GAA Lotto is the main source of income the club has and now you can play online through our website.  The good news is when you play the lotto online you are entitled to free draws, for example, pay for seven draws, receive the eighth one free, pay for fourteen draws receive two free and so on.  In other words, the more you play the more free draws you are entitled to!!
