Ballycumber 2-10  Shamrocks 2-9.

Ballycumber got their second victory of this year's championship with a hard won but deserved win in Rahan over a strong Shamrocks side on Friday evening. The home side got the first point of the game with a point from a free. Conrad Casey replied for the visitors. Peter Dunne and Conrad again added points before Kevin Kelly was in the right place to deflect the ball out the goalkeepers reach and into the net. Andrew Grennan scored a trade mark point to which Shamrocks with a point from a free left the half time score at 1-4 to 0-2.

Shamrocks quickly added a goal and a point after the resumption and the sides traded points, with Peter and Conrad getting points from frees. Shamrocks got a second goal to give them three point lead. Ballycumber were given a lifeline when Peter Dunne expertly converted a penalty to draw the sides level again. Conrad Casey scored three points and Peter Dunne added one more to two pointed frees and a point from play by Shamrocks to give Ballycumber the victory by the slenderest margin.
