Junior A Football Championship

Clodiagh Gaels vs Durrow is on Sunday 23rd of April at 5pm in Killeigh. All support would be greatly appreciated for our first game in the group.

Senior Hurling Championship

Clodiagh Gaels 0-12 Tullamore 4-16. On Sunday we played our first senior hurling championship match and unfortunately we didn't come away with the win we craved but the scoreline doesn't reflect the game itself. The game was nip and tuck in the first half. We went in two points up at the interval after playing with a gale force win. Tullamore kicked it on a gear in the second half and put crucial scores on the board. With ten minutes remaining we trailed by six points. Tullamore scored three late goals to run out winners. Well done to the players who put up a good show against a well seasoned Tullamore outfit. Next up is St Rynaghs in two weeks. 

Intermediate Hurling Championship

Clodiagh Gaels 1-8 Seir Kieran 2-19. On Monday a young and much changed Clodiagh Gaels from last year came up against a strong Seir Kieran side with a number of senior standard players in their ranks and they stood out. Seir Kieran were the quickest out of the traps and put the points on the board early on and took a commanding lead. We got a goal back midway through the first half when Peter Berrys free dropped short for Enda Gorman to flick to the net to reduce the deficit. Seir Kieran went in 1-10 to 1-3 up at half time. Our lads never gave up and kept soldiering on and only for a number of tremendous saves from Conor Brophill we would have been well out of sight. Each side tagged on points and Seir Kieran ran out easy winners.   

Membership

Player €100, Playing student €50, Non playing couple €50, Non player €30. membership is due now and it can be paid to Kieran Keyes and Kevin Egan.

Offaly Minor Hurlers

Well done to Conor, Joey, Sean and the rest of the Offaly minor hurlers as they beat Kildare on Saturday in the Leinster Minor Hurling Championship
