O'Rourke: there won't be much in it

Monaghan manager Malachy O'Rourke is expecting tomorrow evening's Ulster SFC semi-final replay against Donegal to be another close affair.

"Yes it definitely will, because there is not much between us and we know each other so well and how we set up, so it's going to take a big effort to get over the line," he said.

"Donegal started well last Saturday evening but we got back into it and then took the lead, but we didn't capitalise when we were in front and Donegal got back into it with the goal giving them the momentum.

"The boys showed great character, though, because going into injury-time we were two points down but we levelled it and then went a point down again and levelled it again, so we were delighted with that. We know that we face a very tough game this Saturday evening again and I don't believe we've seen the best of Donegal.

"In fact, I expect them to be better this time around because they have got a number of players back who were recovering from injuries and they are a very experienced team. They are going for their sixth consecutive appearance in the Ulster final and they have also won an All-Ireland and by and large they are still a young enough team.

"I would expect them to be better on Saturday evening but if they are then we have to be better as well to match that".
