Monaghan manager Malachy O'Rourke is happy with his side's performances in the National football league.

O'Rourke believes that they have taken plenty of positives from the campaign which ended in a narrow semi-final defeat to Dublin last Sunday.

"I would still be disappointed with a lot of aspects of our play I suppose and we know we can do better but overall the league has been very good to us," O'Rourke told the Northern Standard.

Monaghan now turn their attention solely to the clash with Cavan and following their warm weather training camp in Portugal last week, they will be stepping up their preparations even further over the next couple of weeks.
