Duffy claims 2011 MBNA Kick Fada

November 27, 2011
Shane Duffy claimed the 2011 MBNA Kick Fada Championship with a kick of 60 metres.

The county senior star wrote his name into the history books in September when he claimed the title.
The Magheracloone man set the standard amongst an incredibly talented field of over 20 inter-county players with a hugh kick of 60m into a strong wind. Paul Hearty from Crossmaglen Rangers in Armagh and Paul Flood from Maynooth in Kildare came second and third respectively with kicks of 60m count back.
The MBNA Kick Fada determines who is the longest and most accurate kicker of a Gaelic football in Ireland. Competitors must kick the ball over the bar through specific competition goalposts twice the width of conventional goal sizes.
