Seasons greetings to one and all and let's hope 2012 is as fulfilling and successful as 2011.
Cake and Jumble Sale: Once again our annual sale was a great success thanks to the great support we received from the members, parents and wider community. Annual General Meeting.
The Annual General Meeting takes place on Sunday next (Jan 22nd) in Clontibret Community Centre at 3pm sharp. It is important there is representation from as many parents as possible since, among the items for discussion, is a presentation function for all our players - Senior, U-16 and U-14 - in early March.
It is also hoped to get the 'Mum and Me' programme off the ground. Unfortunately this had to be shelved due to the seniors wonderful 'run' in the Ulster championship - right to the final in mid- November. However, with the seasonal festivities out of the way let's all focus on getting fit!!
An agenda will be circulated later in the week and members will receive their nomination forms shortly so get those thinking caps on.
Also if there are members and/or parents who would like to assist in any particular role in the year ahead this would be greatly appreciated.
Under-age Training
Training for the primary school girls commences this Tuesday, January 17th at 6pm in the Community Centre. Initially we will take all the girls together but when we move outside in a few weeks we will re-arrange our groupings. Training for Beginners will commence shortly. Please remind your child to take €1 each week to indoor training. This is donated to the Community Centre Committee for use and upkeep of the Centre.
Monaghan Sports Partnership.
In December the club received a grant of €500 from Monaghan Sports Partnership acknowledging the work that is ongoing in giving so many young girls the opportunity to become involved in a healthy, skilful and developmental sport. Well done to all concerned - let's keep it up!!
