January 13, 2012Following a very successful competition within the county that saw increased participation in both the number of clubs and the number of children taking part Monaghan entrants acquitted themselves very well in the Ulster semi final which was held in Clontibret where the standard was exceptionally high and Monaghan can be proud of the fact that they have three acts through to the Ulster final which is being held this Saturday January 14th in Galbally, Co. Tyrone. Monaghan is represented in the Solo Singing by Scotstown, (Mollie McKeever), in the Recitation by Killeevan, (Anthony Kilpatrick) and in the Quiz by Drumhowan, ( Stephen McMahon, Colm McMahon and Patrick Duffy). Proceedings get under way in Galbally, Co. Tyrone on Saturday evening at 5.00pm sharp for what should be a great night's entertainment. We wish Monaghan's contestants every success. Tweet
