Minor Final: What only could be described as pure drama was witnessed at Aghabog on Tuesday past where Emyvale minors made an incredible second half recovery to win by the narrowest of margins the Div 3 league final over a very spirited Rockcorry side. One can only feel for a gallant Rockcorry team who were at one stage 9 points ahead in the second half concede two penalties which were brilliantly executed by Thomas Doody brought Emyvale back into the game. At 2-7 to 7 points at half time Emyvale had it all to do but found it difficult to break through a tough Rock defence, but after a considerable amount of pressure our forwards in particular Ryan Mc Anespie forced Rockcorry to make undue errors to which we duly capitalised on to keep us in touch as time was against us. With only minutes left we managed to level the match at 2-14 each and a replay looked enviable but in injury time Rockcorry missed a chance to go ahead and the shot went wide, the resulting kick out by Mathew Mc Aree Emyvale were awarded a foul just inside the Rockcorry half, a superb long range kick by James Mc Alister secured victory to release unseen jubilations amongst the travelling Emyvale supporters.

Emyvale Team; Mathew Mc Aree, Eoin Mc Carey, Emlyn Mc Gee, David Downey, Ryan Nester, Dylan Mc Kenna, Colin Hughes, Cillian Mc Carron David Kilbane, James McAlister, Karl Mc Quaid, Thomas Doody, Ryan Mc Anespie.
