Scotstown club notes
March 18, 2010
Reserve League Div 1: Our B team put in a good late 2nd half performance to snatch a one point win at home to Blaney on Sunday last. For three quarters of the game Scotstown were behind, with Blaney going 1-2 to no score up after 15mins. Mark McDevitt got the opening score of the first half on 23mins, this was followed by two points from Emmett Caulfield to leave them trailing at the break by 1-3 to 3. The second half was 12mins old before a score came, then substitute, Mark McKenna pounced on an incoming ball for a goal to level matters at 1-3 each. This was short lived as Blaney replied with a goal and two points to put them 2-5 to 1-3 up at the end of the 3rd quarter. Our goalkeeper, Gary McKenna, kept Scotstown in the game throughout with some fine saves as they put in a strong finish. Declan McCarville slotted home a good goal after a perfect ball from Emmett Caulfield.
