Seniors: We recorded our first victory in the Ulster league last Saturday, beating Mac Cumhaills (Donegal) 2-7 to 0-9 at St. Mellans. Our team was Ian Treanor; John McCarron, Niall Feely, Rory Treanor; John Treanor, Damian McRory, Keith Sheerin; Gary Feely, Barry Cuddy; Niall McMeel, Neil McRory, Brendan Treanor; Mark Counihan, Noel Clerkin, Sean McKenna. Subs Used: Darren McClenaghan for Brendan Treanor, Eoin Kelly for Mark Counihan & Seamus Treanor for John McCarron.
Reserves B: We started the B season with a hard fought draw away to Carrickmacross last Saturday evening, finishing 1-11 each. Our team and scorers were Anthony Treanor; Darren Todd, Pauric Treanor, Michael McCrudden; Niall McQuillan, Niall Coyle, James O'Brien; Ronan McKenna, Paddy McKenna; John McGlone (0-1), Paul Donghue (0-5, 4f), Alan McKenna (0-1); Martin Owens (0-1), Ciaran Treanor, Ciaran McCarron (1-3, 1f). Subs Used: Dermot McKenna for John McGlone (44mins).
Our next B fixture is away to Monaghan Harps this Sunday at 2pm.
Reserves C: Our C's were beaten in the 1st game of the year away to Killeevan 0-11 to 1-12. Our next C fixture is at home to Aughnamullen on Sunday 20th March in St. Mellans.
Darts Night: The darts open competition is in St. Mellans this Saturday night from 6pm. Entry is €10 and everyone is welcome to come along and throw. All entrance money collected will be distributed as prize money. Food served on the night.
Live GAA on big screen: The club bar will be open early for the live showing of Monaghan v Dublin at 7.30pm. With the darts competition taking place alongside the event, a good night's entertainment is envisaged.
Child Protection Officer: Gaeil Triucha have appointed Anne McKenna (087 7580150) as our child protection officer for this year.
Registration: Membership for 2010 is now due at €20. Membership must be paid to Shane McKenna before 31st March and can be paid at the club bar or with Shane on 087 7999069.
Boxing Night: Keep free bank holiday Sunday, 2nd May, where a boxing fun-raiser event is being organised by the Truagh and Emyvale clubs in the Hillgrove hotel.
Vodafone GAA Offer: The club in conjunction with Vodafone have signed up to the "support your club" project. In this initiative Vodafone will donate 5% of all your top-ups or monthy bills to the club at no cost to the user. So if you are a Vodafone customer, sign up and get your family to sign up to help raise this donation. The internet link to register is available on the front page of our club website, www.truaghgaels.com. Alternatively, you can leave your details (name and number) at the bar in St. Mellans.
U12s: a2 team are at home to Clones on Saturday 20th March at 12pm. The U12s a1 team are at home to Carrickmacross also on Saturday 20th.
Club Lotto: This week's lucky numbers were 1, 7, 8, 21. There was no winner of the jackpot. There were 9 match 3 winners, each receiving €25: Nuala McKenna- c/o Rossmore, Joe+Josie-Clara, Seamus Sherry, Fearn Family- c/o May-Anns, Sean McGinn, Marteen Sheridan (Yearly Ticket), Emmanuel Lavery (YT), Gerard McKenna-Drumcondra (YT) & Truagh Ladies(YT). Jackpot for next Sunday is €5,600. Check team is Roisin, Pat, Marian & Brian. The lotto draw is held at 11pm sharp each Sunday night in St. Mellans.

Camogie:
Seniors: training on Tuesdays at 6.30, Fridays at 7pm and on Sundays at 1.15. Could everyone please make a special effort to attend as the county blitz takes place on Sunday 21st of March. Its never too late to join our team so if anyone is interested in playing camogie please come along to our sessions.
Juvenile blitz: Congratulations to all the girls who travelled to Inniskeen last Saturday for the blitz, they all played very well. Training continues on Saturdays at 11am in Carrickroe.
Clothes collection: Thanks to all who donated to our clothes collection last Saturday and thank you to Eilish who organised it.
Lucky square: There was no winner of our first lucky square so best of luck to all next week. Please remember to bring €2 to training, there are still some numbers available so anyone wishing to join can do so with any of the camogie girls. The square is only €2 per week and prize of €50 will be given out each week for the bonus ball!
Hurling:
Under 10s: Well done to all the lads who took part in the blitz last Saturday, where a few wins and draws were recorded. Training and practice continues on Monday evenings at 6.15 in Carrickroe community centre.
Seniors: Our seniors had their first competitive game of the year last Saturday with the first round of the Ulster league. Unfortunately they fell short of the winning post, beaten by Killeavy. Next league game is this Saturday in St.Mellans at 4.30 against Clonduff Gaels. Training continues every Monday and Thursday at 8.
Under 16s: Trainings will begin shortly.
Ladies Football:
Senior Training: Training continues for minor and senior every Wednesday in Emyvale parish field at 7.30pm and Saturday evenings at 4.30pm in the priest's meadow.
U10/12 Training: Training for all u10/12s will resume on Saturday morning at 11.30am at St Mellans.
Registration: Registration for all players will commence on Sunday 14th March. Cost for Minors are €38.50, while seniors is €48.40.

Well Done: to our club representatives involved with the county senior and U-14 teams who recorded wins over the weekend.
Handball:
Congratulations: to Christopher Mc Kenna (D) who along with Terry Mc Elvaney won the Ulster Minor Doubles title last Saturday. They beat a Down pairing 21-9 21-19. Congratulations boys and good luck in the All Ireland semi-finals.
Well done also to Micheal Mc Carron claimed a W/O in his Ulster final and advances to the AI semis.
U13 Community Games: team lost to Tydavnet last Friday night, 85-72. All players on the night played well. The players on duty were Sean Daly, James Mc Kenna, Ciaran Rafferty, Aaron Mohan, Ryan Mohan and Jamie Sherlock. Well done boys and thanks to you and your parents for showing up on time every night.
U13 Ulster Final: Shauna Mc Aree will play her U13 Ulster Final on Sunday the 14th in Kingscourt against Kaithlin Fleville (Armagh) at 11.30am. Good luck Shaun.
Club Doubles finals: take place Thursday evening at 7pm and 8pm.

Alley Bookings: Alleys are still busy with games over the next few weeks, so attention is drawn to this when booking.
