Clontibret Notes
March 09, 2010Clontibret 1-10, Scotstown 1-12. A good start to the year in Scotstown with a solid team performance despite a narrow defeat. Next game is at home to Latton on Saturday at 1pm, followed by an away match against Magheracloone the following Saturday.
Reserve League Div.3
Clontibret 1-10, Emyvale 0-05. A whole hearted display saw us dominate proceedings on Sunday morning last with a well earned and decisive eight point victory. Good to see some of the younger players making their mark in the reserve competitions. Next game is on Sunday, 21st March away to Scotstown after the Monaghan v Derry NFL match.
National League Forecasts
Last weekend's N.F.L. forecasts was won by Brian Treanor from Truagh who got 55 points.
Club Meeting
There will be a short club meeting in the clubrooms this evening, Thursday at 9.30pm. All monies from the Dinner Dance tickets should be returned and a few other items will be discussed.
Social Club
There will be music in the club on Tuesday night, 16th March for St. Patrick's Day.
Foundation Level Coaching Course
A juvenile foundation level coaching course will be run in Clontibret GAA grounds over a two day period. The first part will take place this Friday from 7pm to 9.30pm and will finish on Saturday from 9am to 3.30pm. Please contact Fergal Mone on 0872242726. The normal cost of the course is €35 but there is a special rate of €20 for Clontibret coaches. Please make a good effort to sign up as it is an excellent opportunity to complete this course.
Juvenile Induction Night
There will be a juvenile induction night on Saturday week, 20th March at 6pm. A number of very important topics are to be discussed regarding the new structures from the Monaghan Juvenile Development Committee about new rules for juveniles, the code of conduct, along with a few other issues. It is important that all parents and players from u12 to u16 attend, so children please make sure you are there with your parents.
Coaches Training
There will be training for u8 and u10 coaches on Saturday, 27th March. This training is only for coaches that have volunteered to do the u8 and u10 coaching. All relevant coaches are asked to attend and if for some reason you can't make it contact Fergal Mone on 0872242726.
U8 & U10 Training
Training for u8s and u10s will commence on Friday 2nd April at 6.45pm sharp and finishes at 7.45pm. All children in the area are very welcome.
U12 Training
Our U12 team starts the season a week earlier than scheduled. Our first game is this Saturday the 13th of March at 3pm at Sean McDermott's GFC. Bus leaves community centre at 2pm.
U16 Training
Training for u16s begins this Saturday at 4pm in the field.
Juvenile Fundraisers
Table Quiz
There will be a table quiz in the clubhouse on Friday 9th April at 8.30pm in aid of the club's Juvenile Fund. Your support would be greatly welcomed.
