YOUNG STARS EASTER CAMP
Following the great success of the "Young Stars" summer camps in 2008 and 2009 we are holding our first Easter camp this year in Emmet Park. This 4 day camp takes place from 6th to 9th April 10.30 to 2.30 and is open to schoolgoing boys and girls aged 5 to 13. Cost 25 euro first child and 20 euro second and subsequent children. 4 action packed fun filled days are guaranteed with the children participating in games, football, Hurling and handball. Application forms are available in Birdys newsagents and can be returned to any committee member or posted to Grainne Malcolm, Club PRO, 8 Ardross Avenue, Carrickmacross.
SENIORS
Our Junior B team drew with Truagh on Saturday last in Emmet Park in the first match of the reserve league. Both teams were evenly matched in the first half with Carrick having a 1 point advantage at half time. Truagh started the second half strongly but the determination of the Carrick players and accuracy of Seamus Mulholland kept the home side in the game. The final score in this very entertaining game was 1 -11 apiece with 1-08 being scored by Seamus Mulholland and a point apiece from Jonathon Gannon (sub), Paul Conlon and John Callanan. Team: Robert Honney, Gerard McGeown, Noel Swinburne, Gearoid Jones, Conor McEneaney, Paul Conlon (0-01), Neil McEneaney, Barry Courtney, Diarmuid Kelly, Pauric Keenan, Seamus Mulholland (1-08), Gary McCarthy, Richard Cromwell, John Callanan, Luke McGeown.

HANDBALL
Juvenile handball training takes place in the Emmet Centre on Wednesdays at 5pm and Saturday mornings at 9.30. All children from age 7 welcome.
Handball club coaches Charlie Gollogly, Terry Kiernan, Jimmy Hayes, PJ Martin and Glenn O'Reilly recently attended a Coaching Course to upgrade their coaching skills.
Hopefully we can pass these skills on to our juveniles and enhance our Club performance. There was also an Ethics Coaching Course held the same week and it was attended by most of these members.
The Handball Club is up gearing itself both for development of skills of the sport and to comply with the Ethics regulations.
LADIES
Carrickmacross ladies indoor training resumed in Patrician High School on Saturday with a great turnout of all ages from under 8 to under 12s. Good to see so many and a very good response from coaches as well. Keep up the good work folks. This will continue for the next three weeks and then we will start outside.
Training in the Emmet's for under 14s 16s and minor will start on Wednesday next the10th march at 5-30pm. All girls are asked to attend.
Well done to Monaghan under 14 girls who started their season with a win on Saturday against Down. The under 16s start their campaign on the 27th March at home to Donegal and the minors on the 3rd April away to Cavan. Please give these girls your support.
Monaghan senior ladies continued their unbeaten run in the league with a 0-17 to 1-9 win over Mayo on Sunday in Emyvale. They now travel to Dublin next Saturday for their next match.
