CPR Re-Cert Course: A CPR re-cert course is being held in St Mellans on Saturday 13th February from 9.30am to 1.30pm. There will be a charge of €20 to cover it. Anyone interested please contact Eilish Treanor on 0877857680.

Seniors: We lost to Mullahoran in the first round of the Ulster league last Sunday in St. Mellans on a scoreline of 0-8 to 1-12. Our team and scorers were: Ian Treanor; Niall McQuillan, Niall Feely, Rory Treanor; Darren Todd, Keith Sheerin, Damian McRory; Barry Cuddy (0-1), Gary Feely; Niall Coyle (0-1), John Treanor, Niall McMeel; Ciaran McCarron, Gary Meehan (0-3), Sean McKenna (0-1). Subs Used: Paul Donaghue (0-2) for Ciaran McCarron, Pauric Treanor for Daren Todd, Michael McQuillan for Niall McQuilan & Ciaran Treanor for Gary Meehan. Our next game in the Ulster league is on this Sunday away to Mac Cumhaills (Donegal) at 2pm.

Training continues for all senior teams each Tuesday and Friday evening. Our first game in the county senior league is on Wednesday 31st March, away to Drumhowan. The B reserves first game is on the weekend of 6/7 March.

Congratulations: to minor player, Darren McClenaghan, who picked up an Ulster vocational schools title with Monaghan, after defeating Donegal last week.

Committee Meeting: Our next committee meeting is scheduled for tonight, Thursday, 11th February at 9pm.

Registration: Membership for 2010 is now due at €20. Membership must be paid to Shane McKenna before 31st March and can be paid at the club bar or with Shane on 087 7999069.
Juveniles: Juvenile committee meeting in St Mellans next Monday 15th Feb at 9.00pm.
Club Lotto: This week's lucky numbers were 11, 16, 19, 21. There was no winner of the jackpot. There were 7 match 3 winners, each receiving €30: Jasmine & Lauren McKenna-Deravoy, Gerry McKenna (Dernalusset, Eilish Keenan, Martin Hughes-Tully, Annie McKenna-Glasmullagh, PJ & Marie Meehan (Yearly Ticket), Philomena Kelly-Emyvale (YT). Jackpot for next Sunday is €4,800. Check team is Roisin, Pat, MM & Brian. The lotto draw is held at 11pm sharp each Sunday night in St. Mellans.

Party Nights: Anyone wishing to avail of the lounge for private functions can book by contacting Shane McKenna (087 7999069), or any other member of the bar committee.
Catering Committee: The catering committee on duty from 14th February is Ursula McKenna, Mary McArdle & Fionnuala Mohan.

Camogie:

Training: Training has been set to resume week commencing 15/2/2010 and we hope to see a full attendance. If anyone is interested in joining our team please come along, the more the merrier.
Registration: Can anyone who has not yet paid their registration please give it to either Eilish or Joanne at our first training session, registration is €20.
Juvenile Registration Day: Thank you to all the parents and children who turned up to our registration day last Sunday. There was a great turn out. Don't worry if you were not able to attend as you can still come along to training. We will be sending notification to parents and schools as to when training will commence. Thank you to all who helped out on the day.
Lucky square: The lucky square will resume in March, those wishing to join can do so with any of the camogie girls the square will be only €2 a line per week and prize of €50 will be given out each week for the bonus ball!

Hurling:
U-10s: Blitz taking place this Saturday morning in St.Macartans College at 10 o clock. Leaving St.Mellans at 9.30am sharp. All lads are to attend as a good days hurling is expected.
Seniors: Training continues tonight, Thursday, in the sem and again in Emyvale parish field next Tuesday. Both sessions at 8 o clock.

Ladies Football:
Team management for 2010: The first meeting of the new committee took place last Thursday night and the following team management were elected; U10/12:Frank McKenna/Michael Treanor/Kelly Treanor/Ellen McMeel and other Senior Girls. U14/16 Seamus Murray/Kenny Mohan/Eugene McKenna, medic is Debbie Murray. Minor/Senior: Aidan Treanor/Peter MaGarahan/Mickey Cuddy/Margaret Treanor, medic is Ursula McKenna. Good luck to all in the coming Season.

Presentation Night: The Juvenile presentation night will take place on Friday February 19th at 7.30pm in St Mellans. This was a hugely successful year for our juveniles winning 5 competitions so we urge all parents and friends to come along and show your appreciation for the commitment of both the players and mentors. There will be refreshments and a guest appearance on the night.

Well Done: To Sharon McMeel, selector for the senior county ladies, and our three club representatives on the panel, Natasha Mohan, Margaret Treanor and Rachel McKenna, who had a convincing win over neighbours Tyrone in the first round of the National Football League.
