Last weekend also saw a round of matches in the Harte Peat intermediate football league and two matches in the Gerry's Fresh Fruit & Veg junior football league the results of which can have an impact on the final placings in both competitions and on the relegation issue in the intermediate league. In the intermediate league Ballybay proved too strong for Emyvale in Emyvale, Corduff made home advantage pay off against Aughnamullen, Eire Og had a point to spare away to Sean McDermotts who are relegated to junior for next year, Donaghmoyne and Cremartin finished all square while Rockcorry gained some revenge for their championship defeat by Truagh when they had three points to spare over the visitors on Sunday last. In the junior football league there were away victories for Killeevan and Aghabog, Killeevan proving too strong for Blackhill and Aghabog getting past Clones with three points to spare.
