McEnaney resumes as Monaghan boss

September 02, 2008

Monaghan manager Seamus McEnaney
Séamus McEnaney will continue into his fifth year in term as Monaghan senior football manager for the 2009 season. Following their All-Ireland SFC exit to Kerry for a second successive year last month, the Corduff clubman made it clear that he would be taking time to consider his future, fuelling speculation that he was to step down. However, following last night's (Monday) County Board meeting McEnaney has decided to remain at the helm for another year with no objections from Farney officials. McEnaney is expected with the same back-room team, which includes former Cavan manager Martin McElkennon as trainer and Adrian Trappe as selector, for the 2009 season.
