McEnaney to reveal plans tonight

September 01, 2008
Séamus McEnaney is set to reveal if he intends to stay on as Monaghan boss for a fifth year in term at a County Board meeting tonight (Monday). After his side's defeat to Kerry in the All-Ireland qualifiers, the Farney boss stated that he would be taking a few weeks to consider whether or not he would remain at the helm in Monaghan for the 2009 season. Now the Corduff clubman is set to inform the County Board in Monaghan of his decision, with the Board said to be hopeful that he will continue on as senior manager for a fifth successive season. Since taking over in 2004, McEnaney has brought Monaghan to an Ulster final appearance and an All-Ireland quarter-final where his side were denied a last four berth last year by eventual champions Kerry.
