Annual Buffet Dance: The highlight of the Aughnamullen Sarsfields GFC sporting year is our Annual Buffet Dance which takes place this Saturday night the 16th of February. Guests of Honour include the U21 Champions of 2018 as well as our Hall of Fame Recipients for 2019. Also there are the various presentations to our Player of the Year Awards at Senior, Reserve, U21 & Minor. Music is by popular band Kickstart and this years Food will be a buffet type meal with food being served from 9pm. Admission is €15 with every patron receives free ticket into a draw for some good spot prizes. Please come out and support thank you.

Seniors: The draw for the Intermediate Championship was held on Monday night last and Aughnamullen have been drawn against Corduff in the first round. First Intermediate League game is provisionally the 30th of March.

 

Juvenile Presentation: The Juvenile Presentation is being held on Sunday 24th February from 3pm - 5pm in the Social Centre. Also any juvenile or parent not yet registered can so do that day.

 

Child Protection Course: A child protection course is being held on Wednesday 20th February in the Social Centre from 7pm - 10pm. This is open to anyone however all management teams in the club ie Senior to Juvenile must undertake this course for further details. Also any person over a team in 2019 must be Garda Vetted as per rules from Croke Park.

 

Reserves: The Reserves provisionally play their first game on the 3rd March. More details later

 

Under 19: The management team for the Under 19's this year are Mark Meegan, Edmond Mc Ardle & John Sheridan. Best wishes to all concerned. The competition is proposed to start on the 16th March.

 

Membership/Registration: Membership is now due anyone wishing to use our facilities must be fully registered member as per insurance rules from Croke Park. Aughnamullen Fitness Centre Teen Camp: Aughnamullen Fitness Centre Teen Camp continues in the Fitness Centre this Sat. morning at 9-30am for girls and from 10.30am for boys

Aughnamullen GAA Lights Up: Aughnamullen Lights Up continue this Thursday night(tonight)  between 7 and 9pm. Everyone regardless of their fitness levels or their age are welcome to participate.

 

 

Michael Quinn & Declan Keenan Memorial Cup: The eagerly anticipated Michael Quinn & Declan Keenan Memorial Cup will be held this year between Aughnamullen and Clonbollogue(Offaly) in Clonbollogue on Saturday 23rd February at 3pm. Proceeds from the game will be shared between Pieta House and Homeless Charity and it is hoped and encouraged that as many members as possible support the day and the very worthwhile charities.

 

Well done: Well Done is extended to Sean Mc Cahey who represented the club at Scor Sinsir on Saturday evening last

 

Ladies: The Ladies are running a Texas Holdem Poker Classic on Saturday the 9th of March in the social centre commencing at 7pm. Admission is €30 with an optional buy - in and top up of €20. Registration commences at 6pm.

Finally: As a club it is great that so many volunteers in our club are developing their coaching careers which in turn improves the quality of footballers in our club however they must contact the Committee when they are signing up to these coaching courses.
