As the 2017 Season draws to a close we would like to say a Fond Farwell and a huge level of thanks to one of Latton Greatest men between the Posts. Sean Farmer has been one of the gentleman of Latton Senior Football and has had an outstanding career at Senior level spanning an amazing 17 years.
Sean first played between the posts for Latton 21 years ago when he donned the goal keepers jersey . He played in that 1996 Minor winning team having being introduced by Brian Mc Entee. That 1996 medal was indeed Sean only success at juvenile levels.
His first appearance at Senior level was in 2000 and he has missed only a hand full of all Senior games Since . A brilliant Shot Stopper and reader of a game Sean has been our Saviour on many a day.
He has won 3 County Senior Championships in 2005,2008 & 2011. Owen ward Cup winning Medals came in 2003,2004,2006 and 2010. An outstanding array of Medals won is a testemant to his ability to compete at the highest level for all of his 17 years in the Latton O'Rahilly GAA Goal keeping jersey.
We wish Sean all the best in his retirement from the playing field however he still is very involved in the Club with our young Under 6's and hopefully this will continue for many years to come .
