Gold Rush Run/Walk

 

Our second annual Charity "Gold Rush" - a 3 or 5 mile fun run/walk will be held on Wednesday 27th December at 2pm.

All donations on the will be divided between two charities with local involvement;-

 1 ) Monaghan Branch Downs Syndrome

Their services provide 1 on 1 speech therapy, OT, and music therapy every week. This service currently has two teachers,  is invaluable to the families of Down Syndrome children, with early intervention being the  key to the development of these special children.

 2) Mater Foundation, St Vincents Ward, Family Room.

A young O'Neills Shamrock's player was this year a patient in the Mater Oncology Unit. Her parents would be delighted to donate proceeds from the run, to the family room for the comfort of patients and families at such a difficult time in their lives.

All support is welcome from the local area and outside it

 

 

End of Year Presentations

Other take note of two end of year presentations in the days after Christmas. On Wednesday 27th the Juvenile presentation evening will be held in the Community Centre at 5pm to recognise achievement at underage level during 2017 while on Friday 29th December the Senior presentations will include the Player of the Year awards and an acknowledgement for Aidan Deighan's term as Club Chairman over the past three years.
