I have to say I can't wait to see the game in navan in 2 weeks yous have a great rivalry going. The banter back and fourth on hs is great (royaldunne 6 out of 10 I'm never forgetting that), I just hope setanta or tg4 are showing it. My money is on the royals but my money is on Kildare come the summer. Meath forwards are to slow for the hard ground in my opinion. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 17/02/2012 20:54:03 1113919 Link 0 |
In fairness, they're equally slow on soft ground. Coylers Elbow (Meath) - Posts: 1075 - 17/02/2012 21:38:07 1113936 Link 0 |
3 losses in a row for kildare. Surely this is the time to catch them. We seem to have improved they seem to have regressed (on evidence so far) still early tho. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 18/02/2012 11:22:50 1113976 Link 0 |

Tough one to call between the two of yous. Kildare have started poorly but when catch sight of the meath they will no doubt up there game. Head says meath heart says kildare. Makes for good viewing... DUB1 (Dublin) - Posts: 5583 - 18/02/2012 11:50:40 1113992 Link 0 |
If this crop of Meath players can't beat Kildare in two weeks, I don't know if they ever will. seamusmac (Meath) - Posts: 379 - 18/02/2012 13:07:55 1114022 Link 0 |
lads at the end of the day, anything can happen on the day/night. i dont think having home advantage makes any difference to meath because even last year against galway i couldnt believe what was happening on the field. we were lucky galway couldnt score that day, and then kildare at home we put up a decent display but they were too strong and fit for us. isTHIS4real (Meath) - Posts: 97 - 18/02/2012 14:03:48 1114048 Link 0 |
The game is on Setanta but any meath man or woman who can go to this game but chooses to stay at home and watch it on TV are only fair weather fans. No doubt all the real Meath fans who are free will go. BettystownRoyal (Meath) - Posts: 3353 - 18/02/2012 18:39:39 1114213 Link 0 |
Should be a great atmosphere around the town. Coylers Elbow (Meath) - Posts: 1075 - 18/02/2012 19:55:36 1114251 Link 0 |

Don't think any one getting carried away. I have been of believe that meath aint that far away from top for a number of years. If you take out the time after final in 10 until this year. This teams record would stand up to most. The reason I exclude that time is I feel it thrown the team into disarray. So I still have faith that we can achieve a long summer maybe even spring? royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 18/02/2012 21:57:36 1114329 Link 0 |
This Meath panel are better than the panel that got to the Semi's in 2009. ziggy32001 (Meath) - Posts: 8354 - 19/02/2012 09:15:25 1114339 Link 0 |
HONLAND 96 What would make you think that ? seamusmac (Meath) - Posts: 379 - 19/02/2012 09:34:13 1114342 Link 0 |
Yes ziggy I too think stronger than we were in 06. And I'm starting to think a few of these meath posters are perhaps not all that they seem? Maybe some might not be as genuine as there county name would suggest? royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 19/02/2012 13:50:19 1114434 Link 0 |
We can do all the talking in the world before March the third but it won't mean much if we lose to Kildare. They will most likely finish ahead of us if we lose to them. It's only the league but it's a huge game for us both Kildare don't want a risk of relegation and Meath want promotion. BettystownRoyal (Meath) - Posts: 3353 - 19/02/2012 20:57:41 1114675 Link 0 |
Cant see us winning this one. We have been unable to turn things around when they have gone pearshaped in the league for the last 4 years. I'd be happy with a good performance and a decent scoring return from our forwards. We should be capable of avoiding relegation over the last 4 games. If Meath win then you would have to fancy them and Tyrone to go up. murof (Kildare) - Posts: 480 - 19/02/2012 21:08:16 1114690 Link 0 |
