Rathmoylon would probably be considered the favorites. The likes of Blackhall, Clann na Gael, Dunderry and Kilskyre will all have a good chance. Kilmessan and Kildalky could have a serious say if their senior teams stay injury free. Here's a link for the groups http://meath.gaa.ie/ihc.php

Are the leagues done on head to head or score difference? Looks to be fairly tight in a number of the groups this year.

Rathmoylon will prob win it out but blackhall will go very close, they have few excellent young players in shane whitty and county man stevie morris. If the senior football keeps stuggling the hurlers might benefit cause dual players might give more effort to hurling

I agree, Rathmolyn must go in as favourites but group A is a tough one. I can see teams taking points off each other. Kilmessan, Dunderry, Kildalkey and Blackhall will be dangerous. Im not sure what is happening in Wolfe Tones but they seem to be going backwards. They are shipping some losses in the league, not a happy camp... In group B Kilskyre to top the group and should make for a interesting knockout stage.

Clann na nGael V Ratoath --- CNG bad league but will have players back for Champ..
Donaghmore/Ashbourne V Kilskyre --- Kilskyre should be too strong but don/ash could surprise but unlikely
Wolfe Tones C.L.G V Kildalkey --- Kildalkey could win this or it will be very close or a draw
Blackhall Gaels V O'Mahonys --- Blackhall will have too much firepower and better overall
Kilmessan V Rathmolyon --- Rathmolyn will win this but bad time of the year to be playing a 2nd team
Dunderry V St Peter's, Dunboyne --- Dunderry should be too strong and playing div 1 league should help.. playing 2nd team at a bad time

Clan an Gael beat ratoath by 5 points..very good game however ratoath will be disappointed with that result..probably deserved to lose in the end but some awful decisions made by some of the forwards and not using a substitute was one of the strangest decisions I've seen

There was a time when BHG could put it up to their 1st team. Bad times in B'town.

kildalkey lost to wolfe tones but really had the beating of the tones. two etreemly soft goals killed off kildalkey. kildalkey will struggle this year though as they will loose some players to the senior team because 3 or 4 players are going away for the summer of the senior team.

some good hurling matches over the weekend, was in trim on Saturday night, poor conditions but not too bad of a game, i think kiltale will have a say come the closing stages, our dunboyne team had a very good display against drumree even when reduced to 14, our inter team took a beating off a good dunderry team, Gary watters why not playing senior??
where did dunderry finish last year?
what has happened in drumree (hurling only) ?

Athboy v kilskyre - Athboy by 4 or 5
kilkaldkey v Dunderry - Kildalkey, if this game was played after kildalkey seniors played their game I reckon Dunderry would win as I believe kildalkey will lose some players from intermediate team
Rathmolyon v Tones - Rathmlyon by 3 or 4, stronger team all over
Dunboyne v kilmessan - kilmessan by 1 or 2
Navan v Ashbourne - Ashbourne by 7 r 8

Toon, I would agree with your post and the results predicted. Should be good games and nice to see they are split over the weekend so they can be watched. Saw Rathmolyn V Kilmessan in first round and they looked very good. I cant see anyone stopping them this year. I would imagine they have the bit between their teeth to get back up to senior. Cant see the Tones beating them. Not all well in their camp by the sounds of it...
