The question is: Does anyone think it would be fair for Meath to run up a 'cricket score' against Waterford (no disrespect to Waterford here) but they are most definitely not a 'football' county. The assumption is of course that Meath come out with guns blazing which may or may not happen (only EOB knows that) and if so, does it not bring up the whole question of 'token 'teams taking part in the AI. Personally I would not be okay with embarrassing any team as Mayo almost did to Roscommon last week. I sincerely hope Waterford put up a good fight as it would be good for both teams! If Waterford win then guess who will be really embarrassed. What thoughts?"

Although nobody wants to see a team hammered, if Meath are to have any hope of progressing to say an all ireland quarter final then im afraid nothing less than than hammering waterford will do. Its a no winner whatever the result but thats what happens when you have to use the back door....

we would want to see meath win by about 15-20 points if they are to go any further after the waterford match and if not looks like we can forget about any hopes of a decent championship run this time round

we shud win by a cricket score and try to do so to,were not here to take pity on weaker teams the goal for all matchs should be to go out and win and win by as much possible.eob should send out a full strength team[if he knows which team that is yet] with the plan to win well and take no prisoners.if waterford got one over us or came close we would hear all bout it,if dublin can do it to westmeath please god i hope we could at least manage it againist waterford.

we shouldnt hold anything back on saturday night. its not our fault that we got such a bad draw, we should play as if we were playing kerry. anything else will be a failure. its not the ideal draw by any means, but we have to make the best of it and get plenty of scores and a bit of confidence. let waterford be worried about the cricket score not us!!

I really think Meath Fans are totally underestimating Waterford. We were cocky against Limerick Last year and look what happened. After all this is Championship Football. Anything can happen
