Under 14 football championship

January 30, 2007
The draw for the Meath under 14 championship is made and the two Under 13, 2006 finalists cannot meet until the final. Division 1 The two U-13 Finalists from 2006 Ratoath and Walterstown are on opposite sides of the draw and are both picked as eventual Finalists although Walterstown will have nothing easy with SS Peter/Pauls in the 1st Round, Moynalvey in a Quarter Final and Division 2B winners Nobber probaly a Dark Horse picked to make the Semi Final. Ratoath and Simonstown are expected to meet in other Semi and its hard to see anything but an outright Victory for Ratoath The Draw is Moynalvey abye. Walterstown v SS Peter/Pauls, St Martins v Wolfe Tones, Trim v Nobber Donaghmore/Ashbourne v Simonstown, O'Mahony's v St Colmcilles, Ratoath v Clann na Gael, St Cianan's v Summerhill.   Division 2 Top Guns Skyrne and St Patrick's have drawn each other in the 1st Round. The victors here are picked as outright winners but Ballinlough will be hoping to go one better than 2006 when they lost the Final after a replay. Seneschalstown and Round Towers are favoured to make the other Semi.   Curraha v Seneschalstown, Inny Gaels v Na Fianna, St Michaels v Carnaross, Dunderry v Round Towers Dunsany v Oldcastle, Ballinlough v Gaeil Colmcille, Clonard v Ballivor, Skyrne v St Patricks   Division 3 The top half of the Draw seems strongest with St Cutherts, Bru na Boinne, Longwood, Syddan and Drumconrath/Meath Hill. Syddan and Longwood both winners at U-13 are picked to advance with Longwoods bulging population just giving them the edge if they can topple Drumconrath/Meath Hill in Round 1.Moynalty and Kildalkey appear strongest in the bottom half with Moynalty going for a two in a row maybe just best but Longwood could stop them at the Final stage.   St Cutberts v Blackhall Gaels, Syddan v Bru na Boinne, Longwood v Drumconrath/Meath Hill, Bective/Cannistown a bye. Castletown v Boardsmill, St Vincents v Moynalty, Kilmainhamwood v Kildalkey, Rathkenny v Ballinabrackey   Division 4 [For Reserve Teams] Trim v St Martins, Ratoath v SS Peter/Pauls, O'Mahony's v Donaghmore/Ashbourne, Simonstown v St Colmcille's
